Vibrant Beach Wedding at the Pelican Beach Clubhouse – Summer and Brannon
From the bride, Summer: Though Brannon was raised in Arkansas, and I in Oklahoma, we chose Satellite Beach as our wedding location because of the strong ties I had developed to the area after years of extended stays with my sister, Rebekah and her family in their Space Coast home. Satellite Beach has been a haven for me time and time again, a place to escape from the chaos of life and be still. The groom deferred to my sentiments on this one, and in my opinion, what better location to wed than one in which I am the most at peace.
Striped clutches and hot pink shoes, striped bow ties and hot pink chair sashes set the scene for our ceremony. We loved our reception venue because of all the whites and natural light, the ocean-view windows, the deck, and the sand pit for games. We were able to intertwine bright colors and details of stripes to enhance the happy-go-lucky personality we hoped our day would have. Kate-Spade inspired, but altered to fit us, bright flowers and sprinkled doughnuts, sangria and life-size Yahtzee were just a few of the elements that highlighted our celebration. Our cake was a hand-made marshmallow fondant with three layers and three flavors: the peanut butter top-tier, a rich chocolate layer with cookies and cream filling, and a coconut cake layer with coconut cream filling. Delicious…and then we had doughnuts! Brannon is a doughnut guy and I adore sprinkles, so the groom’s cake choice was a given.
