Yellow and White Country Wedding at Club Lake Plantation – Nicole and Ricardo
This country themed wedding was inspired by the country bar that Nicole and Ricardo first met in. They tied the knot at Club Lake Plantation in Apopka, FL, which features gorgeous oak trees, a barn, and horses. The couple incorporated an American Flag in some of their wedding photos because shortly after they were married Ricardo left to pursue his career in the Marine Corp.
How did he propose?
My husband booked a breakfast reservation at the Beauty and the Beast Castle in Disney. We got to go into the park before it was open and take pictures in front of the castle before Main Street was filled with people. When I went to grab my phone from the camera man, I turned back around to see my husband on one knee asking me to marry him. He had also booked a hotel room that night in one of my favorite hotels and room!
Advice from Nicole, the bride:
What advice would you give other couples about the wedding planning process?
Make sure it’s stuff you want and the way you want it. It’s your day. Not your family or friends.
Is there any advice that you would give engaged couples about married life?
Be open and honest. No matter how hard a situation may be. Communication is key. Love each other like there is no tomorrow.
