Cypress Grove Estate House Wedding – Erika and Chris
The beautiful Estate House at Cypress Grove was the back drop for this re-purposed inspired wedding. Erika was wearing a lovely gown from White by Vera Wang while Chris dresses in a suit from Men’s Warehouse. The ceremony took place at the venue’s gorgeous pergola overlooking Lake Jessamine. The couple took advantage of the amazing locations the venue has to offer for their portraits, which included a vintage Chrysler that they rented from Erika’s friend. Guest then danced the night away under market lights and sent the couple off to married bliss with a bubble grand exit.
From the bride, Erika: I was inspired by the art of re-purposing. The idea of using everyday items and making them beautiful again is not new, but definitely a new obsession for me. I feel like everyone executes this practice in a different way and part of the excitement is seeing how it all comes together and turns out in the end. I used old doors, mason jars, wine and milk bottles, doilies, LOTS of hand drawn chalk boards and old signs, and secretary desks, to name a few items. Neutral and organic materials/colors sprinkled with a slight touch of sparkle were the base of it all. Colors included navy, champagne/gold, blush, and gray. Part of the rustic theme that was so appealing was the sense of history, comfort, and warmth that it brings. With it being a winter wedding, the warmth was definitely welcomed.
