Elegant Outdoor Wedding in Plant City
From Carrie Wildes Photography: Hailey’s parents transformed the beautiful property their home is on into one of the most unique and beautiful wedding venues we’ve seen. A pathway lined with signs and finished with a lemonade stand led the way from the house to the ceremony site – a waterfront gazebo! Hailey got ready with the help of her mom in front of a huge window. Her gown was gorgeous, with layers upon layers of organza drifting towards the floor and was paired with a chapel-length veil and her favorite cowboy boots.
After heart-melting moments with her father and grandfather, Hailey was ready to meet her groom at the end of the aisle. The sunlight filtered through the trees as she made her way through friends and family towards John to say “I do.” With the ceremony complete, it was time to celebrate! Hailey and John held their reception outside under strings of market lights and and a beautiful chandelier. A sign reading “Be Smitten, Not Bitten” pointed out bug spray for guests just in case – a good idea for any outdoor Florida wedding! A six (yes, SIX) tiered aqua and white wedding cake was the perfect center-piece dessert, while an additional table full of chocolates, gumballs, and more provided extra sweet treats for guests. The newlyweds finished off their night with a sparkler exit, but that’s far from the first time sparks were flying that day.
How did you two meet and how did he propose?
I actually met my husband on Match.com. We were a 100% match according to the website and the rest is history. He proposed to me on a cruise. He took me out to the front of the ship and proposed. To my surprise, his whole family was watching in a room behind us that we could not see through.
Advice from Hailey, the bride:
What advice would you give other couples about the wedding planning process?
I would highly suggest a wedding planner. I am not a very creative person, so planning the wedding would have been very stressful for me. I also recently graduated college and started my first job where I was working around 60 hours a week. The wedding planners were amazing and took care of everything for me.
Is there any advice that you would give engaged couples about married life?
In my personal opinion, a key to a successful marriage is communication. Don’t be afraid to tell your partner how you feel, holding back feelings does not do any good.
