Destination Wedding Location: Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate

If you were watching our InstaStories in mid-June, you probably saw my trip to Omni Resort Orlando at ChampionsGate for their wedding event. This event showcased all the options that the resort has for weddings. With several indoor and outdoor options for both ceremony and reception, they are able to accommodate any size event, from intimate to events of guests up to 1,600.

Each celebration location has a different vibe, from golf course views to modern ballrooms. The grounds also allow for special extras that can be found at weddings. Lindsay and Amanda, the Catering Sales Managers at the resort, had said they have had both a helicopter land and elephant come through to deliver the groom to the ceremony space. How about that for an entrance?!

The resort’s newest addition is the Grand Salon, which center focal point is a cluster of beautiful wavy crystal chandeliers. We had the pleasure of dining there on our first night at the resort. Upon entering the Grand Salon, they were floor to ceiling white draping from Swag Decor surrounding the chandeliers. Inside a gorgeous white dinner party awaited us. Special details like guests’ names on the backs of the white King Louis chairs from Orlando Wedding and Party Rentals, amazing acrylic menus, and incredible all-white florals filled the space and brought the look together.

And can we just take a moment to talk about the food?! Yall, everything was so delicious! The four-course meal was custom-made for this event by the resort’s chefs. The amazing thing is that a custom menu is not something out of the ordinary. The chefs love working with couples to create custom options to reflect their tastes all the time!

Creating a Weekend Celebration

Hosting a resort wedding means guests may decide to stay for the weekend and make a little vacation of it. A really nice perk of having a wedding weekend is that the celebration doesn’t have to end with the wedding day! Morning After Brunches are becoming very popular and Omni Resort Orlando at ChampionsGate has great options for this. With the variety of ballroom options and breakfast menus, you can host your guests one last time.

Our brunch was filled with an array of fruits, breakfast pastries, and sandwiches, which were all amazing. My favorite item, however, was the watermelon mimosas. Made of the spot with crushed watermelon and bubbly champagne, I wish I could start every morning like that, so good!

Beautiful floral draping framed the dining area. We dined at a farm table with French country chairs for seating and when you use citrus for the decor, it’s a given I’m going to love it. Oranges were used as place cards and accompanied by lemons in the centerpieces.

There are so many things that I love about Omni Resort Orlando at ChampionsGate! The grounds are beautifully manicured, the spa is absolutely amazing (try the body quench, you won’t be disappointed   ), and all pool options are great. My favorite is the adult pool which is divine! However, it truly is the service that makes the resort, especially when it comes to weddings. They make sure that no detail is overlooked to create a truly memorable wedding celebration!
