Overlooking the City Beautiful, this wedding at the Citrus Club in Downtown Orlando, Florida was filled with beautiful white and gold details and a little ballroom entertainment!
Although Megan and Bobby went to the same high school together, it wasn’t until after college that they met at a mutual’s friend’s house and the rest is history! When it came time to propose, Bobby took Megan to New York City. After a few days of fun-filled activities, the couple went on a carriage ride and walk through Central Park where he popped the question. And of course, Megan said yes!
On the wedding day, Megan and her bridesmaids/bridesman got ready at the beautiful Alfond Inn, located in Winter Park and just down the road from their ceremony location, St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church. Before the ceremony, Megan met Bobby and their furbaby for a first look, giving the couple a special moment together before they walked down the aisle to say their “I Dos”.
The reception took place at the elegant Citrus Club, which has stunning views of Downtown Orlando. Gold Chiavari chairs and details stood out among the lovely white florals, which consisted of lush hydrangeas, roses, and orchids. Little touches like the cannoli flavored cake, by Sprinkles Custom Cakes, and olive oil guest favors made a little nod to the bride’s Italian heritage.
Guests enjoyed a fun night of entertainment, including a photo booth from Flash by KWP and professional ballroom dancers. And who doesn’t love a great confetti canon! As Megan recalled, “As for the confetti bomb, none of the guests knew it was coming. So to see all of their faces and reactions was the best feeling. It was the most fun part of the evening that really got the party going!”
Wedding planning advice from bride, Megan:
“My advice is to take a step back and enjoy each moment of the planning and celebration. It passes by so quickly and each experience is so special and a gift to be remembered.
Also, one of the most helpful hints is to hire a wedding coordinator to help with your big day. We worked with Soiree and Co. event planning and Annie Nuno was amazing!”
